QUESTION: Sheikh, Will I be sinful to marry a guy who believes in Dargah, do Fatiha, Niyaz etc? In India if we want to marry a righteous person who doesn’t believe in dargah fatiha kunde niyaz etc they think they’re not sunni. I personally believe that I’m a muslim and i don’t believe in sects.

ANSWER: You must not agree to marry such a person with a corrupt aqeedah. You will be sinful as marrying a person committing shirk is invalid.

ANSWER: It depends on his intention, if he believes Allah made this happen then its minor shirk but if he believes that this happened due to this person’s death on its own then its major shirk.

ANSWER: If this is the actual price of the pencil and not exaggerated and you are buying it because you need it and not just to enter the draw, winning it is permissible and halal for you in Sha Allah.

ANSWER: These are two separate matters. Not praying is a major sin and can mount to kufr if it is all the time. However, we would encourage such people as well disbelievers to do as many good deeds as possible as one doesn’t know when Allah will expand their chest and hearts to the truth.

ANSWER: Having such feelings is natural. What is not permissible is to commit sin in the process such as looking without lowering the gaze, communicating, socializing or being around such a person. This is totally prohibited.

QUESTION: A Muslim woman lives in a Non-Muslim country and in an islamophobic home. Can she make Hijrah, if she is able to do so? She is not married yet.

ANSWER: If there is danger on her Islam or she is unable to practice Islam, she must leave the house and live with other mahrams or friends where it is safe. Making hijrah alone would pose more danger on her than staying in her own country.
