Drawing faces or pictures of living beings is haram, but on forums and other places on the internet people draw emoticons using symbols, for example :D represents a smiling face if u look at it vertically. is this haram?.

Im 14 years old boy that go in school, and you know in school we have a subject named : ( i dont know how to spell it im not english ) but the subject in school that you Draw things. Sometimes the teacher tells us to write Faces for example of a person a living person.. and ís that haram ? if it is i really regret i did that.

If you did that in the past, ask Allah for forgiveness and never do that again. it is a major sin to draw such living creatures.

If images are displayed in the computer screen and the computer is on while we are praying, are we supposed to cover the computer screen? Is the prayer valid and presence of angels would be there if the images are displayed in the computer screen?

Photographs are an issue of dispute among scholars. the most authentic opinion is that it is permissible to take with the exception of adult females and keeping photos of deceased people. It is best not to keep any at all just to be on the safe side.

My question is regarding whether we can hang pictures in our home consisting of places,buildings and photographs consisting of poses of hands,legs…not the face

Will the angels still not visit such a house and the prayer not be valid in such a room? …………………………………………………………….. As long as it is not of living creatures, it is permissible. If it is of people but without heads, this is permissible as well.
