Photographs are an issue of dispute among scholars. the most authentic opinion is that it is permissible to take with the exception of adult females and keeping photos of deceased people.

It is best not to keep any at all just to be on the safe side.

What is the ruling on photography using cameras? Does this come under the hadith regarding the creation of animate drawings?
