QUESTION: Can we purify carpet and sofa by just pouring so much water on impurity such that it overwhelms the impurity and leave it to dry naturally without using any drying process? Is the wet carpet or sofa be considered pure like if some one walks on wet carpet or sits on wet sofa?

QUESTION: Would a marriage still be valid if a husband and wife sleep in separate rooms due to not getting along for numerous years. QUESTION: In my masjid, the congregation prays on a carpet, but the imam prays on a prayer mat placed over the carpet and then another prayer mat on top of that, which raises it slightly. Is this practice considered an innovation (bid’ah) in Islam?

QUESTION: Can Muslims study ayurvedic system of medicine? They teach that ayurveda originated from brahma & then the knowledge had been passed to the humans through other gods,there are some other things which they relate to their gods. I skip those parts. Ayurveda also includes yoga,I don’t attend yoga classes. I have 2 more years left. Will Allah forgive me if I continue in this way?

ANSWER: It is permissible to study medicine that is based on science and that would benefit others. However, if such studies are based on gods and kufr and it is not scientific, you must not continue in such a field as it has no benefit to it.
