Some brothers are telling me to hold my hand on the chest and some telling to hold it below the chest. other tells me to rise my hands before going to ruku and after the ruku. they are telling me it is all in hadith but i dont speak arabic.

When I am at college, I have to pray there. So, when I used to pray, I was told the direction of prayer was towards the corner, so I prayed towards there, or just followed everyone elseBut, soon started to get doubts about where the qiblah actually was. I carried on praying, but afterwards I got my own campus to check thedirection, but for some reason, it didnt seem to work properly. So my freind had her phone on her, and she checked for the direction with that, and it was somewhere else, but sort of close to where I used to face whilst praying. Were my prayers valid?

The prayers are valid.

While we are in prayer and in bowing position we say samiallhu liman hameeda rabanna walakal hamdwhen we say that do we have to rise our hands like how we do for takbir& after that we say takbir when go to sujood position should we rise up our hands while saying samiallhu liman hameda rabbana wallakal hamd or at takbir which way is authentic?

You should raise your hands when you bow and when you raise your head from bowing. There is no raising of the hands when you go down to prostrate

In the musalah near by my house salatul Isha is offered in congregation. But there is a hadeeth of RasoolAllah salallaahu alayhi wassalam that he said the best time to pray isha is nisful layl?So I end up not going to congregation for Isha. I stay at home expectingto pray at the best time. Am I doing something correct in accordance with the Quran and the sunnah and the understanding of the Salafus-Salih? I sometimes neglect praying in congregation where I get thoughts telling me It will take up some time and what not. The musalah is nearby 5 minute walk. Also a good student of knowledge said that the most reward in the salah is being there before the imaam goes into takbiratul ihraam? Is this correct?

Surely you are wrong in what you are doing. You must pray Isha with the congregation even if they pray it immediately after the Athan. You must not postpone it until the middle of the night unless you are a woman or you are with a congregation in another masjid.

If a person starts to recite in salah then his mind wanders off and he is not concentrating, then when he finally realises that he is day dreaming, he cannot remember well what he recited earlier, what should a person do?

He should either start to recite again or if he had finished Al Fatiha, he should go for Ruk’u.

I want to know if somebody was travelling back and front on not trips but for other important reasons and that person missed some prayers and doesn’t know exactly how much of prayers he missed, what does such a person do?

If a person skips prayers without any legitimate reason such as sleeping or forgetfulness, he can’t pray it or make it up. But if there were Islamically accepted reasons, he should pray them immediately. If he prays them while traveling, he should pray them shortened.

Today I woke up late and missed Fajr congregation. So I prayed at home the Fard prayer only during sunrise. Is my prayer valid? I found one hadith which states something like, no one should pray during sunriseI prayed Fajr at that time based on the hadith that whenever a person wakes from sleep must pray. Please clarify.

It can be prayed anytime. Among the best times probably would be the last third of the night

Suppose there is a 4 rakah congregational prayer going on and if I come late and join the prayer and I missed 3 rakahs with the imam. How many tasahuds do I have to sit when I make up the missing rakahs after the imam has said the salaam?

Two, as you have to sit in your 2nd rak’ah and then in the 4th rak’ah

Should we stand up for the missed rakah’s before the Imam says as salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah or after he finishes the prayer completely
