QUESTION: I am an only son to my parents, married and working in gulf. My parents forcing me to quit working abroad and stay with them in my home country as they r aging n just retired. They also quote a hadith about parents right to stop their children from going to jung. But I don’t have job opportunity in my home town to provide sufficiently for my wife n children. Whom should I choose in this situation?

ANSWER: If they are independent & self sufficient then you don’t have to obey them and if they need assistance then you can provide them a maid to look after their needs

QUESTION: Father and brother bought me a phone and gave my old one to my mother saying that he bought both of us new phones. I did not know they were doing this or else i would have said no to getting a phone to myself. I told my mother after they had done all of this that they lied to you. QUESTION: I saw your video of dirt under nails not effecting wudhu. Is my understanding that no matter how much dirt there is even if it touches the skin under the nail wudhu is valid ad long as it is considered under the nail?

ANSWER: True!! It’s really unhygienic though & it’s mandatory to clip your nails within 40 days and even before that if your nails starts to grow!

ANSWER: No problem as that person doesn’t physically become impure by consuming haram.

QUESTION: In Hanafi madhab, when a man says before marriage,”If I marry so and so, she is divorced or any women I marry, is divorced.” Divorce takes place after marriage automatically. According to Quran, Sunnah and Salaf, is this view correct? Although I am a Hanafi, this doesn’t seem right to me.

ANSWER: This is baseless and has no value as one can’t sell a thing he doesn’t possess and likewise, one can’t divorce someone he is not married to Once he marries, he can divorce after the marriage but not before it.
