Suppose an Imam finishes the second prostration of the fourth rakah in Thuhr prayer and he mistakenly starts going to the standing position; but before he can do so, the congregation reminds him (by saying ‘SubhanAllaah’); he then sits down for the tashahudd. Are the two prostration of forgetfulness a must in this case?

If he stood up or was half way, he has to offer sujood assahu. But if he didn’t stand up but was almost to do so, he doesn’t need to prostrate for forgetfulness.

is it a shirk or bidah to use tasbih to complete a zikr target set by me example 1000 times this and that .after i complete the target i still do zikr . But i simply wanted to make sure i complete my daily target of zikr

NO problem in using a tasbeeh or counter but its preferable to use your fingers. There is no problem in setting particular target if you don’t believe it is sunnah or recommended as then it becomes a bid’ah.

With regard to the Hadith about Ease in Religion, please clarify: what is the meaning of the words ‘you should not be extremists’? My family thinks it is regarding and including trying to practice proper hijab by dressing more and more conservatively, avoiding jewellery and sometimes even luminous creams and powders in public, wearing a beard for the men, praying Dhuha/Tahajjud and so on. How can I convince them of the real meaning of this Hadith, the difference between what we have to strive to do for our faith and what is optional?

Any Muslim accusing our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam or his sunnah of being extremist becomes an apostate and a disbeliever. These things which you have mentioned are all from sunnah.

This question is regarding property division..my paternal grandmother made her will before she passed away… .the house which belonged to her was to be sold and divided according to Shariah. she kept 1/3rd to herself and the 2/3rd was to be divided between the 4sons and 1daughter….she wished to give her 1/3rd to her youngest daughter in law which in return would go to her youngest son…is this permissible?? as per my limited knowledge a mother’s 1/3rd share shouldnt be given to her heirs… so if she gives it to her daughter in law then it indirectly goes to her son….is that permissible??? if not then should the entire property be divided between the children as my grandmother is not alive…please clarify

Her will is valid and the 1/3rd must be given to her daughter in law! This is to be owned by her and not her husband.

No, whether it is covered or not, this doesn’t affect the wudhu.

I have a question regarding moving out. as a young muslima I am planning to go to a univercity in another city(I have tried to find schools close by) I won’t have time to travel all the way everyday. I’m trying to perfect my salah. I understand the different movements and to take my time, but I don’t understand what I should visualise during salah. What image should I see when I am praying?
