Any Muslim accusing our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam or his sunnah of being extremist becomes an apostate and a disbeliever.

These things which you have mentioned are all from sunnah.

With regard to the Hadith about Ease in Religion, please clarify: what is the meaning of the words ‘you should not be extremists’? My family thinks it is regarding and including trying to practice proper hijab by dressing more and more conservatively, avoiding jewellery and sometimes even luminous creams and powders in public, wearing a beard for the men, praying Dhuha/Tahajjud and so on. How can I convince them of the real meaning of this Hadith, the difference between what we have to strive to do for our faith and what is optional?
