Assalamu aliakum, My wifes parents baught a house with a interest bank loan a few years ago when they where not pracitising Muslims. They did not know it was Haram back then. They became religious later and now want to pay the house down so they can live Riba free. Can I help them pay the house down, so that they can pay back the house loan as fast as possible avoiding longer payment of riba?

Assalam-o-alaikum sheikh I wanted to ask that when a woman misses some of her fasts during Ramadan and she does not observe the previous fasts until the next Ramadan, does she have to give Fidya in that situation ? Because some of the scholars say that it is not necessary JazakAllah Khair

Salam, I had a question in regards to fasting. If a little drop of rain gets in your mouth and you don’t spit it out and swallow it on purpose bc its tiny and difficult to avoid, will it break your fast?

Wa alaikum salam wa rehmatAllah, The most authentic opinion is that it is to be done only in the first Tawaf a person does. Wa iyyakum!

My dad does not pray. Not even on fridays. From two years he goes to mosque only on eid.he watches almost everything on TV. He does not fast. He was working in Saudi about 25 years back. He did haj thr. Now he is around 57. He wants to go to haj with my mom. Should i pay? Is it worth him doing haj without even praying five times a day.i m his son.

Assalamu Alaikum wa rehmatAllah, You don’t know if he prays sometimes when you don’t see him or not! It is not to us to judge people over speculations! He may change himself after doing hajj this time. Pay for him if you can afford and try to advise him to make this a new start.

My mother met an accident. She would need a surgery. So, if I fast for her quick recovery,& her surgery shud b successful, is it permissible? and also, after surgery, if I wanna THANK Allah, can I fast? Plz advise.

This is disliked to do but if one made such a vow, he should fulfill his promises. We are limited and don’t know what is the best for us. But Allah knows.

If a woman forms the intention of making up an obligatory fast during night, goes to sleep and then wakes up after Fajr and decides not to fast (since she missed Suhr due to sleep and hence fasting would be difficult), would she be sinful?
