Is it permissible to raise money from the community to fund sadaqah jaariyah for a deceased person? My grandmother had passed away, some relatives are raising money from the community in order to build an Islamic centre. Is this permissible? Or should the money only come from the children of the deceased?

Sir I dont have proper knowledge about certain issues.For example if in a dealing a price is decided for something( service or item) and I give more money to him or ask him to keep the change after I give him money.Is that also Riba?Secondly if I ever committed a wrong in such transactions without knowing the ruling,have I commited a sin.

If you give it as a service fee and as a gratuity or tip, this is not riba.

She is sinful for doing all this. If she really wants to repent then she should show deep remorse and sincerely repent and never fall into this again and surround herself with righteous people and do deeds which are liked by Allah.

I have heard that if a person keep beard for more than 40 days, he is not allowed to shave it. Is there any authentic hadeeth regarding this?
