I usually pray witr after isha prayers and wake up around 3am and pray tahajjud and later fajr. But a friend said that witr should be prayed after tahajjud since it should be the last prayer of the day. What’s the correct opinion on this? Im confused because i thought tahajjud was supposed to be considered the next day

ANSWER: Your friend is correct. Witr is the last prayer you pray for the night and should be prayed after tahajjud. But if you are afraid not to wake up, you can pray it before going to bed as you are doing at the moment.

If husband put his finger inside wife’s private part and wife put her finger in her private part (genital)and stimulate it as a part of enjoyment, would it be haram? Please clarify this.

ANSWER: Husband can do that to her but a wife cannot do that to herself as this would be considered as masturbation which is not permissible.

Can we do ruqyah for skin related problems like pimples, pigmentation?

Sheikh, sometimes we see a group of people (muslim/non-muslim) openly doing bid’ah or evil. Can we talk (which they may not like) about them with our family members to remind ourselves of the gravity of these sins? Is this backbiting? We may refer to them by pronouns, such as “them, that group, those people”, but not with individual names.

ANSWER: If you want to warn others about them and their innovations, this is ok and it is not backbiting.

Sheikh. I hav to tak a vry vry imp decision of my life. i do istikhaara. here one alima said me. we can make 6 chits 3 yes and 3 no. perform istikhaara thrice each time after making istikhaara dua to allah take one chit. which chit come more in 3 chits. go to that decision. Can i do like this. before 3 years i did it and it happened the same. i received same reply in dream too.

My mother passed away 7 yrs back due to brain stroke. But just the day b4 she fell ill she told us that if we give any property to one of our sister who did not treated her well n misbehave a lot of times becoz of her husband n in-laws,she will not forgive us . She caught my hand n took a promise not to give any thing from her property r gold .I’m confused wht shall be done

ANSWER: Whatever will she left is abrogated by the sharia and her property must be divided according to Allah’s law whether she instructed against it or not! This is not valid and all her children must get their share as directed by Allah.
