my question is about lying in order to preserve the ajr of good deeds and avoid riae for example when a person is fasting nafila and she is asked why do you not eat she says I’m on a diet.

ANSWER: Lying is a major sin. There’s nothing wrong in telling that you’re fasting. This might encourage people to fast voluntary fasts.

I need to ask that if someone(muslim) celebrates birthday and then sends you cake or anything else from there(like rice or whatever).will that be halal for a Muslim.

ANSWER: If they send you any halal food, it is permissible for you to eat it, providing you don’t participate in the celebration or that gathering.

Today an indian actress passed away.The whole facebook news feed is filled by rest in peace by our muslim sisters and brothers and the people argue when i shared that its not correct to ask for forgiveness as its stated in surah al taubah but then they quoted me a hadith that we should respect the person..ok even if we are respecting is saying rest in peace ok thoughshe died in state ofkufr?

ANSWER: One must not pray for the person who died as a non muslim as this is sinful and our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam was ordered not to do it.

ANSWER: You must not delay it when you’re sure you’re pure. You are sinning for delaying it and not praying your prayers. This is a major sin.

Since it is not permissible to remove hair from eyebrows, is it permissible to shape the eyebrows with a colour pencil and also at the same time colouring the eyebrows with that pencil?

Since last Ramadan I started reading Qur’an from juz to juz after every fajir Salah not finished the whole quran yet so I heard we should finish the Qur’an in a month I don’t know iam the right way or not? Kindly help me with I appreciate

Reading/Reciting the Quran

ANSWER: The sunnah is to read the whole Quran every month, but if one couldn’t do this he is not sinful, but one must do his best not to stop reading Quran. Reciting one juzu is good and can lead to finishing the Quran once a month.

Ya Sheikh is it permissible to lend someone an object like barbing machine to cut their hair to different style or memory card to transfer music or videos?

ANSWER: If you know they will use it to shave the beard or use the card to download haram stuff like music etc then you must not gift them these things.

Sheikh, outside our masjid there are many beggars if I gave to someone who is really needy the other beggars say bad words .. Whether I should give to all.. Because of this sometime i end up giving

ANSWER: You should not give to these beggars as mostly they’re professionals. You should give your charity to known Muslims from your family or acquaintances, those needy people whom you know or send through authentic organizations to Syria, Burma etc where our brothers and sisters are actually suffering and need our financial aid.
