ANSWER: The first niyyah for the first day is sufficient for the whole month as long as you didn’t break any day in the middle by traveling or falling sick. You must not say the Niyyah with your mouth.

My aunty and her husband who are poor want help financially to make them a house. The problem is because these things take time to sort out such as purchasing land and papers work, I want to know although my zakah is due 17th of Ramadan, can I give them my zakah now but they hold on to my money until everything gets sort which may take several months, will that be ok?

ANSWER: Giving zakah money for this purpose is not permissible. Buying or building a house is not something poor and needy people do! You should give your zakah money on time to the poor and needy Muslims in cash in hand.

Ladies used some medicine to give birth to a baby boy ,they eat this medicine at the last of 3 month during pregnancy . Is it ok to use these medicines ??what are your views about this ??

ANSWER: This is not permissible, neither it is possible to change the gender of the baby especially in the last three months. Such a belief is shirk.

I know in the Quran we learn that seafood is halal for us, but recently someone mentioned that basa fish may be haraam. I did a Google search which says: Eat any fish that has scales, and do not eat what does not have scales.” Imam Al-Baqir (a.s.) the claim is that basa fish has scales and so it is not permissible to eat. Can you clarify?

ANSWER: As long as it is with your spouse and one doesn’t ejaculate, then fasting is valid.

Pls forgiv me for bothering u again.regarding a query ‘washing machine’ I asked 2 days back,the problem is I dont hav an automatic washing machine.ours is semi-automatic whose working is a little different as I described in that Q.is that claim abt ‘squeezing najas clothes till no water comes out’ true?if its not true i think even this washing machine will make clothes pure.

ANSWER: Washing in this type of machine is also sufficient. What counts is that the impurity was removed whether by squeezing or without.

My grandparents are coming next week, they are old and weak (cant perform umrah same day they come). Is it necessary to make niyyah from pakistan or can they come here and do umrah from jeddah.

ANSWER: They must make niyyah from the meeqat while flying over it, about 45 minutes before landing in jeddah. They can stay in jeddah for few days in their Ihram before going to Makkah.
