The dog are permissible to be used when guarding a herd, a farm or for hunting. Guarding humans as in the case of a blind man or for guarding the whole society as in the dogs for detecting drugs are more worthy.

I m converted to Islam and people her can tell I am not from here. As a result I get a lot of beggars, both male and female asking me for money. I am not sure as to what I should do in this case.
