QUESTION: My husband follows proper Deen but also believes in darga, fateha and I don’t. He wants me to be part of it with him and he tells me to obey him as per Islam. Here if I don’t obey him my marriage will be ruined and our relationship will get worse. Can I just try to pretend with him here so that I can have peace?

ANSWER: This is not permissible at all and if he does shirk and goes to graveyards and worships the dead your marriage is invalid and you must get divorced with him.

QUESTION: If a person prays behind an Imam who claims that our Prophet knows the unseen and makes dua to him. So will the prayer of that person be accepted and most importantly will he become a kafir by praying behind such Imam?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to pray behind such a person and the prayer is invalid.

QUESTION: My uncle kept my name “Tamima”.I gotto know recently that tamimah is used to describe amulets. I watch your videos regularly and you said using amulets MAY lead to shirk. I don’t use any amulets but is my name sinful?all my certificate has this name. Should I be concerned with changing my name?

ANSWER: Using amulets is shirk, whether major or minor depends on the intention. I don’t do names.

QUESTION: If someone believes that after someone’s death, it is possible that rain or eclipse happens because of the death of this person, is believing so major shirk?

ANSWER: It depends on his intention, if he believes Allah made this happen then its minor shirk but if he believes that this happened due to this person’s death on its own then its major shirk.

ANSWER: People who die on kufr or shirk will never be forgiven and it is not permissible for their muslim children to ask Allah for forgiveness.

QUESTION: Is it riya, which is considered a form of minor shirk, only for acts of worship or also for other worldly reasons too? like for example someone showing of his muscles or cars to others, is this also minor shirk or is it a major sin?

ANSWER: Showing off in worldly matters is not riya.

QUESTION: I have been diagnosed with rectal cancer alhamdullilah and undergoing treatment. I read Quran daily considering it as healing.Iam regular in my salah and adhkar too. A friend shared a video of a medical experiment which says that we can make our body heal faster by talking to it or giving strong and specific commands to it.Of course healing is from Allah swt alone.Will it count as shirk?

ANSWER: This is not permissible and this is considered to be minor shirk I know someone who has cancer and can you tell me the steps of how to use camel urine and milk?

ANSWER: What they believe and do is totally prohibited and they are deviated and not part of Islam due to such corrupt beliefs. Making tawaf round a grave would take them out of the fold of Islam and they would be committing shirk.

QUESTION: Sheikh does doing shirk destroy every previous good deeds including Salah sawm etc it’s literary every good deeds will be nullified?

ANSWER: Shirk destroys all good deeds. If one repents and reverts to Islam, Allah restores his good deeds back.

QUESTION: Can I visit the graveyard of awliya and ask forgiveness from ALLAH for him. Like for example ‘’ Ya ALLAH forgive his sins as he was a righteous person’’.

ANSWER: It is permissible to visit the graveyards to make duaa for the dead Muslims unless it is a shrine or a dargah where people worship such people as this is clear shirk.
