In our weddjng tradition before we set the exact date we ask the opinion of an expert in sighting a good date that brings prosperity to a couple. Its this tantamount to fortune telling?

ANSWER: Yes, it does and it is prohibited.

I have heard some sheikhs predicting the year in which Imam Mahdi or Isa (pbuh) will be on earth. They also show some mathematical calculation to support their statement. Should we believe them?

ANSWER: Of course not! Believing in such predictions can nullify a person’s Islam as he is claiming to know the future! Nobody has this knowledge but Allah and claiming to know this or predicting future events is absolutely prohibited in Islam and what they claim is totally baseless.

I wanted to do roqiya. I received a number from someone of a raqi. This raqi wanted my name and date of birth so he would cure me with Quran. I gave him my info, he told me that there is somebody who did sihr on me with a death chicken and menstruation blood so I will never marry and if I do I will divorce. I’m affraid that what I did is not ok, and the raqi isn’t working the Islamic way?
