My family and relatives are attached to saints. A saint gave us all something long ago to recite, 11 times every morning. Also, during talks about marriage, it was said by his daughter to see if the stars of both people match. Pictures of the saint are kept in the prayer room as well. Everyone says saints know everything. But, I am hesitant to accept this. What should I do?

ANSWER: This is soothsaying and fortunetelling and whoever believes in it is an apostate out of the fold of Islam! You must stop communicating with this individual, burn anything he gave to you while reciting the last three quls and never deal with him again.

I would like to know if a menstruating woman can destroy a Taweez, even if she recites morning and evening Adhkar alongside with Ayat Al Kursi and the 3 Qul during the destruction. Also what Should I do with the remains of Taweez ( Ruqya water in which I soaked it, ashes…), is there any harm in throwing it in the trash ? Shukran

ANSWER: No problem in menstruating women burning off the taweez while reciting the last three surahs of the Quran. Simply throw away the ashes in the dustbin!

Here in India people say that in the month of Safar wife and Husband should not see their face. So father of the daughter brings her in his house. Know that they are attributing this to Islam. Is there anything in Islam as such or is it Innovation?

ANSWER: This is not from Islam, it’s an innovation.

Sheikh on Instagram an image popped up saying “dark fortune cookie” and I read the fortune but it was nothing but an insult no fortune. It happened all in like 3 seconds. Immediately when I remembered that salah is not accepted I made tovbe and avoid such apps now. Is my salah void? I did not intend this to happen it happened very fast & my brain didn’t process.

ANSWER: Saying that to him is not talking to him but it won’t harm him rather it would make him more pleased for annoying you like this. What kills him is to seek refuge in Allah from him! This burns him while telling him to get lost pleases him.

ANSWER: Ashura is not related at all to the death of Hussain, may Allah be pleased with him and all the companions. We fast because it’s the Sunnah and Prophet salla Allahu Alaihi wa Sallam used to fast it because Musa alaihissalam was granted victory by Allah against Pharoah and his people.
