Ya Sheikh I sent you a mail asking of the permissibility of kneeling to greet our parents and elders and you said it’s prohibited.Unfortunately my parent are not understanding and wants to quarrel me because they believ to a deviant sect who forbades respect(kneeling to greet) ones parents and elders.I don’t want to have issues with them, please Advice me.

Wa alaikum salam, To believe it is a protection, this is shirk!

What is the ruling with regards to wearing necklaces bearing Allah/Muhammad (swt) names or ayatul kursi/surahs. Is it permissible to wear those, and not with the belief that these will protect me from evil eyes whatsoever. It is just that I am fond of them.

As for Allah’s name this is not permissible as you have to go to the bathroom and it is not permissible to enter toilet while you are wearing it. As for ayatul Kursy; this is not permissible as most of the people believe that this is a protection which is not.

I know a man who died a few years ago. He was a good man and belongs to a mawlana family. He was also like a mawlana. But he and his family do milaad, do dua in jamaat, support wearing taweez, going to mazar and many more. In this matter as he followed many bidaah inspite of being a member of a mawlana family, is he be punished for just following others as he had good chance to know sahih sunnah?

His punishment and reward is to Allah who knows what he was all about! These actions you have mentioned involve bidah and shirk.

My relative uncle (far relative) he knows how to read palm and stuff, though I haven’t asked him to read my palm cause I know it’s shirk. But is it permissible if I just want to learn how to read palm and I don’t read it for others? I mean I have it in my knowledge how to real palms but I don’t use it on people?

Learning it is shirk! Believing that a person knows how to read it or predict the future is also shirk!

Sir. . .mind science like reki, hypnosis,alpha rays,meditation and 4dimension is permit.in Islam? And it is work and by this we can achieve success and what ever we want and by this we can read another mind and solve their spiritual prblms. Is this true?? It can be possible we should blv in this?

These are all not permissible.

A person is learning Arabic language in order to comprehend islam in a more better way which I believe would be considered as an ibadah but if that person does show off to people that he knows arabic, due to that intention of learning Arabic, this act has now become a worship,in this case, if he does show off to people that he knows arabic language, will it be riyaa which is minor shirk?

I wanted to ask that what are the signs of a mushrik? Can we call a Muslim person mushrik..if we see those signs in him? Is it allowed for a Ahle tauheed ( believer of tauheed) to marry a mushrik (though their beliefs are not correct but they are Muslim? ??

My sister is going through some illness…and my brother in law hanging amulets or some pieces of wood on my sisters hand..and i know its completely shirk…so if take a stand to remove that amulets knowing the couple will have chaos later on this issue…wht should i do in this case…i tried to make them understand..but they dont…wht should i do in this situation.

You can only advise them. and if they persist on using them still, they are sinful. Pray for their guidance and try to talk to someone who they listen to in order to warn them of the sin they are indulging in.

Should i pray behind an imam in these two scenarios… A- I was told by someone that he blew on them and said that he will have a dream after the imam visited a known magician who I was warning against. B- I was told by someone when giving dawah to tawheed that this mufti writes taweez. They used this as an arguemnt to defend taweez. I am convinced by the individual’s testimony.
