I work at an Islamic school in Malaysia. Children often lower their forehead onto my hand when greeting. The Sheikh in the school who told me that this is disliked Islamically, but that it shouldn’t be condemned because this is a custom and nothing shirk related is intended, and the ruling is a matter of ijtihad.
