Why do we say “Qul” when we read the quran, for example in surah al iklhaas, shouldn’t we say “alahu ahad” instead of “qul alahu ahad”?

You must say it as it was revealed as this is the Word of Allah and even the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam who was addressed by it recited it as it is unchanged.

I read an answer to a question stating that it is not permissible to decorate ones home with Islam calligraphy and Allah’s Names. could you please explain the reason behind this and advise if there is any evidence to support this?

Allah’s names and attributes were not revealed to be used as calligraphy. This is an insult to them.

If you are able to read it but not understand it, you will rewarded for that. It is Allah’s words. Understanding it magnifies your reward.

There’s this application on iphone called “myQuran” and i find this app beneficial for memorizing Qur’an. I discovered that the tafseer on the app is by one “Maulana Mawdudi”. Should I stop using it?

His tafseer is not most authentic and you should not follow it. You may continue memorizing the Quran from it but avoid the tafseer.

Is it right if I make the intention and complete the recitation of the Holy Quran once every month? Is there anything wrong in doing so? Will I be rewarded for the same?

This is Sunnah and very recommendable.

Is it correct that if we read in quran something which glorifies Allah subhanatala we should say SUBHANALLAH,is ït from sunnah

The Sunnah is when you read something that has the mentioning of torment or fire that you seek refuge in Allah and if you read something that mentions paradise that you ask Allah from His kindness and mercy.

After reading and completing the qur’aan, is it permissible to make a general dua?

This is permissible but not in congregation.

By the grace of Allah i am a Quran hafiza..my Question is it permissible for me to recite the Quran and touch the arabic text without wudhu most of the time i read during the day?And also can i continue my hifz even when am in my menses i know about both the views but is it allowed for me to touch the mu-saf (i mean the arabic text) aswell? Since everytime mistakenly in my menses i touch the arabic text and it becomes very difficult for me to avoide not touching it.

You can read from a book which has the tafsir or the translation of the meaning as this is not considered to be Mushaf. You can also read it from the mobile or the computer.

I am currently memorizing quran and studying to be a talib al ilm, however I.am sure that part of my reason for this riyaa, please help me completely purify my intentions
