Shaykh, I know that it’s not permissible to work in banks . But what about companies ? because most of them ( for not to say all ) use bank loans to pay their employees and fund other activities. Is it permissible to work there even if your activity in the company is halal and has nothing to do with usury

ANSWER: No problem in working for such companies as the sin is on them alone providing the line of work of the company is halal and your job is halal and does not involve usury.

Is it permissible to work with the legal debt collectors who collects and coordinate with the customer to settle the dues of payment. The job is to manage collections calls sending reminders and coordinating with the bank and the customer until the customers settles. Kindly do adise

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible if it’s a conventional interest based bank.

I am student in Netherland and have financial hardship to support my study and family back in my country. so Is it permissible to work in restaurants and hotels where alcohol and pork dishes are available? I am planning to work as a dish washer and I wander whether it is permissible to wash dishes and wine glasses.

ANSWER: Any money earned through haram means such as riba, bribes, stealing, selling prohibited things etc, and yes the dua of a person is not accepted who earns haram.

Sheikh, is it permissible to buy products online and directly send to a warehouse ,without never physically seeing the products, where they will package and deliver the products to the buyer.

ANSWER: It depends on the bank. If it’s a conventional riba based bank then it’s totally prohibited to work there and the income is haram as well.

I am a delivery driver and unfortunately we delivery pork pizzas and I know it’s haram but I’m trying to provide for my wife and my daughter when she come out in sha Allah and I feel bad most of my clothes are from this job I am trying to find other jobs but I am worried they won’t let me pray or I have to cut my beard because this job lets me and my prayer is it valid with the clothes Im wearing?

ANSWER: Your prayer is valid but your income is haram!

Is under-invoicing permissible in business? Today most of the businessmen do under invoice to evade tax/ vat/ duty for price competitive otherwise actual invoice make the products price extremely high. If as a Muslim, We do not under-invoice, the actual price will render me out of the competition.

ANSWER: There’s no specific dua mentioned, just make general dua during times of acceptance, such as in salah in your sujood, in the last tashahud, before making salam, between Azaan and iqama, during the last third of the night, begging Allah until He opens the door and answers your dua.

sheikh my husband has a general store n he used to sell cigarettes too.i want to know whether it is permissible to sell cigarettes. As per the Hadith (kullu muskirin haraam) does cigarettes come in this category.what about it’s rulling in islam.have to sell it or not?plz guide us
