ANSWER: It is totally prohibited to photograph women. If the photography is only for men, this is permissible, providing you don’t add any music in your videos.

Sheikh i am working in the project credit card process for the external client but i am not getting salary for them, i am getting salary from my organization which is having lots of halal projects i.e working for external client, i am receiving salary from my organization is that permissible or not ? please explain i am confused

ANSWER: It is totally prohibited to work in this project as it involves riba which is a major sin and your income would be haram as well as you are the one processing and facilitating this riba based process.

There are some companies that pay a certain amount anually in stock. Is it allowed to work there?

ANSWER: No problem in this, providing you don’t assist anyone in any haram transactions such as riba based loans or financing.

I have a job interview coming up for teaching English in Morocco, which I hope will enable me to make hijra from the UK to a Muslim country. Is it halal for me to teach people English if I know they want to learn the English language to help them do their haram job? I.e. they want to make riba bank deals with English speaking clients.

ANSWER: This is too extreme! We are not ordered to judge People on their intentions. If you are just teaching random people, it is not your business how they use their English. You can’t work for a bank for example as this is prohibited.

I used to work at a company ‘X’. I used to take 15 minutes to go get food and return back to work, however I would not register this as a lunch break. Essentially, I was getting paid when I should not have been paid during these 15 minutes Is this considered stealing? If so, how do I repent? Should I return any money? I was getting paid hourly at this job

ANSWER: This is money earned unlawfully. If there is a policy or a way you return this to the company, you should do this. But if there isn’t any official way or it would put you in haram way, you must give it to poor or needy Muslims to cleanse your wealth from it.

Working in a bank is haraam ..People around say these are different times and We have a Maulana Sahab his son works in a bank thereby giving kind of sanction to ignorant people like me to work in Banks..And my 2, 3 cousins work in Bank they say its better to work in a bank than to be penny less and may lead to many sins like shoplifting etc etc …Their Logic

I am a postman, and sometimes they give the box containing alcoholic, unlawfull meat or woman clothing(not dressed properly) flyers, is it haram to do such a job, and if I want to spread the letters/folders the haram things are mostly on the side where the housenumber is, so I can not spread it if don’t look and thus have broken my responsibility what to do?,another job?

ANSWER: As long as he doesn’t know about his parcel, he is ok! If he knows that he is transferring pork, intoxicants or anything haram, this is not permissible for him.
