I am confused if I should wait for the interview from a company or I should go to another city and look for job. For this reason can I pray ishteqaara 2 units after isha and wake up for tahajjud since I really want that job and ask allah swt for that job

ANSWER: Istekhara is not done to decide between two different things. After you have made up your mind about something then istekhara is prayed to seek Allah’s counsel whether this decision is good for you or not. It is not permissible for a woman to travel without her male mahram.

My grand daughter(1year) always comes near me when I am offering Salah and I get distracted. Is my prayer accepted in such a situation.

ANSWER: Dry spit 3 times to your left and say ‘Aa’oodhbillah hi minash shaitaan nir rajeem’ and do not contemplate on such thoughts or images and continue praying.

As we know salah should be offer by keeping our eyes open but is it permissible to keep our eyes closed while making dua?

ANSWER: No problem in this if it’s outside of the prayer.

Here in my country people tend to sit outside the masjid on a field going late to prayer as they are lazy to use stairs. Is it valid since it is said in a hadith “When Friday arrives, angels are over the door of every mosque to record those who arrive one by one. When the Imam sits to begin, they close their scrolls and come to listen to the reminder”

ANSWER: If there is space inside the masjid yet they insist on praying outside, they won’t be rewarded. Sheikh Ibn Othaimeen says that the prayer is invalid if there is a place inside the masjid and people pray outside it!
