My father bought this radio that says the adhaan when time comes for prayer, but you hear the voice way to loud in the morning so my mother turned the sound down and my father started shouting at her she shouldn’t do that. Do you get reward for having the radio adhaan called in your house? Is there more baraqah? Is it worth arguing over it with your wife?

ANSWER: There’s no reward or baraka in hearing the recorded athan.

We recite tashahud and swalath in prayer. Did muhammed (pbuh) recite the same as we do. I mean did he swalath himself.

Is it permissible to allow women to perform ju-mah and other salah inside masjid.we are sunni from south india;here some sunni masjid are not allowing women inside masjid ;even the women are not in periods;and they are saying hadith that “for women it is better to perform salah in home. ANSWER: The best prayer for a woman is in her house. However, it is not permissible at all to stop them from entering the masjid and praying there if they want to.

Is it allowed to read the qur’an, answer Salaam’s and do dhikr while the jumma’ah khutba is going on?

ANSWER: All of this is prohibited during khutbah. You must sit silently and listen to the khutbah attentively.

ANSWER: This is permissible. However, if he begins his prayer sitting down, the congregation behind him must pray sitting down as well.

Can u please tell me about the Qunoot in witr.When we have to raise the hand while reciting Qunoot,After surah Fatiha or before going to Ruku or after Ruku or before going to sujood.? And please let me know the detail of how to perform witr from start to end for my better understanding in 1,3,5,7 or 9 rakha.

ANSWER: The most authentic opinion is that you recite the qunoot after raising up from ruku, so you must not say Allahu Akbar, rather when you say sami Allah humidan hamida, you directly raise your hands and say the qunoot.

I would like to know that can we pray salatul-shukr namaz of 2 rakhat to thank Allah.

ANSWER: No as there’s no such prayer.

Ruling on sitting sideways (example ny reclining against the wall for tasbeeh after prayer finishes) & someone praying in the previous row facing this person. Is it same as passing in front of someone & how can we advise such person to face the qiblah for tasbeeh rather than reclining sideways?

ANSWER: No problem in this as long as he’s not sitting between the standing position and the position of prostration of this worshipper.

Sheikh, I am taking admission in a college away from my hometown, then how should I pray my salah? I mean pray qasar during first 15 days and then start complete salah or should I pray complete all rakah from first day?

ANSWER: You should pray in full since you are not a traveler but a resident because you will live in this new city for the entire course of your university. You should pray like a traveler while you’re traveling between these two cities.

In Bangladesh, there is a Bengali khutbah before the second Adhan and Arabic khutbah. The hadith mentioning angels registering names at the door till khutbah begins talks about the beginning of which khutbah for us?

ANSWER: The one that the imam says in the beginning: Assalamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi …. and he sits and the athan is called.
