ANSWER: It’s not permissible for you to keep them as these kind of toys and dolls are only for very young kids to play with and not permissible for grown ups.

ANSWER: Pure red is prohibited for males, whether young or old.

I am a 12 year old boy and i think i reached the age of puberty because i can see some changes . So this ramadan Alhamdulilah i fasted almost the whole month but missed 3 days because of illness . Many of my Muslims nowadays support homosexuality. I try to tell them that its haraam and with proof about why its haraam, but all I get from them is mockery. Sheikh is there any way a competition (other than horse riding, archery, camel racing) can be halal? Suppose having a sponsor, not taking registration fees or anything?

ANSWER: No problem in having competitions if you have NOT paid anything to enter the competition, providing there are no other haram activities involved like music, free mixing between genders etc. But if you paid an entry fee and then participate in any activity with the possibility of winning something, this is gambling.

My mum has previously told me that I can not change my surname to my husband’s once I get married. However my husband is saying that is wrong and I must change my surname to his surname. He even brought local imam to our house and the imam told me that I’m sinning for not listening to my husband.Please tell me what is correct according to Islam. I haven’t done anything yet.Need clarification.

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited and one of the major sins in Islam! This imam is either an imposter or a total ignorant! Hold your grounds and do not change your name which your father gave to you!

Does celebrating birthdays make one out of the fold of islam while knowing that the root of celebrating birthday is from some shirk origin(for example the pagan origin, roman origin or kafirs did it for pharaoh etc)? I mean, after knowing all the roots, if someone celebrates birthday following their whims and desire, does they become out of the fold of islam?
