I am a married woman.My question is about cutting hair whether it is in front or back, if I cut my hair to look attractive for my husband is it permissible in shariah? My husband wants me to cut my hair bcoz he likes me with short hair. Please, sheikh I want to know

ANSWER: No problem in women cutting their hair, providing they don’t cut them short enough to imitate men’s hairstyle and they must not have a haircut that is done exclusively by kafir women.

There are certain topics in studies which contain shirk. I decided not to study them in school since they will teach them as facts. I decided to study about them as theories from YouTube videos. But when the video starts they say some words of shirk . What shall I do. What is the ruiling on videos which contain some useful things and some amount of shirk.

ANSWER: You should not watch such videos. You can study that part for the sake of passing the exam while abhorring it with your heart.

If I advise my wife to do something, and she says this is between me and Allah. And that she will take responsibility. Is my responsibility complete? If I advise her but not force her? Because they say there is no compulsion in religion.

ANSWER: Things that are obligatory, you should compel her to do. It is your duty to save her and your family from Hell Fire. Other things such as voluntary acts, you may tell her to do and if she does not do, it’s her responsibility.

I’m a 19 year old girl,Sometimes when guests come home my parents ask me to shake hands with non mehrams who r much older than me and would consider me as thier daughter or grand daughter,i’m sure there must be no desire in their hearts,I shake hands with them unwillingly, i really dont want to but i do this to avoid any rift between the two families.pls advise me,what should I do?

ANSWER: You must not agree to shake your hands with non mahrams; as this is sinful, plus it is prohibited to sit and mix freely with them. Let obeying Allah be your priority.

My husband is going to start a business in ……. by taking loan from a bank involving interest. I have …. kids with my husband and we currently live in …… Shall I continue my marriage with him despite of his haram income? If I divorce from him shall I take my kids along with me? Sheikh! Working in a non Islamic country and you are the boss in a government organisation and your subordinates(christians) are going in for riba based loan and the bank needs you the boss endorsement of their loan forms, how do you the boss handle such a case, now that it is against your religion.

ANSWER: You must not sign such passers that would facilitate them to take riba loans.

Please correct me if I’m wrong. I believe there is nothing wrong with eating a birthday cake. (Providing it is halal) Q) What is the ruling on putting “candles” on top of cakes? Is it imitating the kufar/fire worshippers? Sometimes people do this and they blow the candles to celebrate their own birthday.

ANSWER: It is not permissible to celebrate one’s birthday as this is imitating the disbelievers whether by putting candles or not. If someone offers you birthday cake, there is no problem in eating it providing you did not partake in their celebration.

Due to the possibility prophet (pbuh) might have approved of Aisha’s possession of dolls b4 the order to efface suras was revealed, its best to train girls using non-corporeal toys in order to be safe from the questionable matter. In doing so we r acting in accordance to the Hadith leave what causes u doubt and act on what does not cause doubt. Therefore the permission could be considered Mansukh?

ANSWER: No, this is not the proper understanding of the hadith. The hadith is clear and there’s no problem in young children playing with dolls and soft toys. Saying it was abrogated needs evidence stating the dates.
