What is the correct way to dispose papers, books, pamphlets etc that have Prophetic du’as and Quranic verses written on them?

ANSWER: It is best to burn them if they are written in Arabic text. You can also shred or bury in a clean ground.

There is a scheme in my area where 2500 members are participating in it and paying 14000 rupees,14 months respectively,and every month a couple of members win somethin like bike,car,plot,tvs,phones,etc.and everyone gets something or the other,noone is missed,So my question to you is, Is This Halal or Haram! Coz am paying only 14000 and getting something expensive.

ANSWER: This is absolutely not permissible as it’s a form of gambling. If members contribute same amount every month and everyone gets a lumsome amount once and nobody pays a single penny extra or less then this is permissible.

I’m a medical student, i have to buy many books and they are very expensive. Is it permissble to photocopy this books without selling them, only for studying reason?

ANSWER: This is not permissible as it violates copyright laws.

I run an online gift shop. Every year, the platform where I’m selling sends out a newsletter to their customers where they advertise gifts for Mother’s day and Father’s day celebration. Am I allowed to have my products listed on that newsletter in order to increase my sales? Those who don’t advertise don’t get much exposure and end up selling little compared to the shops that do.

ANSWER: This is not permissible as this would be participating in facilitating such celebrations.

My brother workz in a shipping company. Once while at port he noticed unclaimed zam zam water which was lying there for nearly 10months. He brought it home and distributed the bottles. Is it permissible for him o take it? Is it permissible for us to accept it? His opinion is its unclaimed and we can use. Please guide me on thiz matter.

ANSWER: This is prohibited for him and for you as well as this is considered stolen goods. Only the authority has the right to sell it or give it to people.

Sheikh I saw your video regarding copyrighted material in which you told that we can download if the material is available on internet.In such case is it allowed to buy a product from a market which sells the products which has been stolen?Kindly clarify

My father has a life insurance.No point in explaining him as he never listens even the first word and gets angry. Now, he orders me to deliver a cheque in the bank, for the premium of life insurance. Am I as a son allowed to obey him ? He will then ask my mother. Is she allowed to obey him ? Should parents be obeyed in other haram acts that directly dont belong to me just like the above example

ANSWER: No, you must not obey him in this regard as obeying Allah takes precedence over everything, however you must be respectful, never raise your voice, humble and diplomatic when dealing with your parents in these kind of situations.
