QUESTION: Sheikh as a son I don’t party, smokes,drugs,haram relationship or anything that my friends and this generation is doing and still my parents complain me that I failed as a good son.what should I do in this situation

ANSWER: Hold on tight to Islam and know that Allah will reward you for being a practicing Muslim! Keep being dutiful to your parents and never raise your voice or argue with them and expect the reward from Allah

QUESTION: Couple got divorced and have a child.Child is living with his father.So whoever is taking care of baby does she has the same status as mother(heaven lies under her feet).And does biological mother has any status/value in child’s life or not,if baby isn’t with her due to some reason but she loves that baby

ANSWER: The reward and the responsibility of being dutiful is only to the real biological mother. The step mother is rewarded for her kindness and that is it. She has no rights on her step child at all.

QUESTION: I show love and respect to my parents outwardly, but I don’t love them from the heart. I think it’s due to their controlling behavior since childhood. I act only to please them and Allah. I’m unsure if my actions please Allah or if I should change

Sometimes I miss that fatherly love and instantly I am trapped in guilt. Is it sinful to remember him or is it sinful to be trapped in guilt.

ANSWER: It’s obligatory for you to maintain ties of kinship with him no matter what went on between your parents! Severing ties with him is a major sin that would prevent you from entering paradise.

QUESTION: I remember taking money from my father’s wallet without asking him when I was young. Now how should I repay him, is it permissible if I make it up by buying him food?

QUESTION: I am married and live with my parents and sister. My sister is disabled. My father is partially blind. My mother has late stage cancer and a difficult person (always been abusive). My wife and Mom have issues. I have considered putting distance between my wife and Mom but my parents never accept any compromises (separate house, separate story).
