It’s obligatory for you to maintain ties of kinship with him no matter what went on between your parents! Severing ties with him is a major sin that would prevent you from entering paradise. 

QUESTION: Father mother separated because of father’s unholy behaviours ( domestic violence, extra marital affairs,) he was also not provided for the family. Sometimes I miss that fatherly love and instantly I am trapped in guilt. Is it sinful to remember him or is it sinful to be trapped in guilt.
