My parents have seen me proposal so from boys side they wanted to do an engagement funtion.so having engagement is halal or haram? If we do an engagement funtion will i earn the curse of Allah?

ANSWER: No problem in this as long as there’s nothing haram involved, like exchanging rings, music, free mixing between non mahrams etc. You and this man are still strangers and non mahram until you get the marriage contract done.

Where I live there is no halal readymade chicken(in resturent)! In this case we allow to eat the chicken or not?

ANSWER: If it is not halal and it is not slaughtered, you can’t eat that. But if it is slaughtered by Christians, this is permissible to consume.

There is a deobandi masjid where I happen to pray. Sometimes the Imam say ‘Allahu Aghbar’ instead of ‘Allahu Akbar’ in takbirs other than the opening one. But he doesn’t perform sujood as sahw at the end of prayer or even after Salam. Now do I have to repeat the prayers behind him (though he didn’t make mistake in pillars)?

ANSWER: You need to talk to him. If he is unable to pronounce it correctly, his prayer is valid but you shouldn’t pray behind him due to corruption in his Aqeedah. But if he can say it correctly but doesn’t want to, the prayer is invalid.

When I eat chicken, I always find pink and red bits near the bone. It looks like veins or dried blood. Is this permissible to eat?

ANSWER: The blood that remains in the veins of a slaughtered animal is halal.

I just want to know and be clear what is considered a high heel. Because i have flat shoes that have about one inch thick sole in the part of the heel. Is this a high heel?and if not how thick does the sole of the shoe has to be to considered a high heel.

ANSWER: High heels are the ones that changes your walk and posture and you risk falling when walking with them. These are forbidden.

ANSWER: The zakat on gold is when it reaches 85 grams of 24 carat. The value of the cash money is measured through the value of silver which the minimum of it must be 595 grams of silver or more.

I have heard that if a person missed the jum’a khutbah or heard only a small part of the khutbah then his prayer is invalid and he must pray 4rak’a. Is this true? If i miss jum’a sermon can i still pray with congregation?

ANSWER: This is not true. One must pray 4 Rakah if he has missed the prayer of the Jum’ah and didn’t pray with the imam either Rakah.

Can i go to the masjid that i doubt is doing shrik there i mean thay have grave in their masjid they are ahl-shrik?

ANSWER: You must not pray in such a masjid.

If after the death of a person, many heirs inherit a single shop, can we pay the heirs in money the value of the share of land they would inherit from shop? Is it permissible, so that we give them the value of the share without selling it and keep the shop to our self?

ANSWER: The shop belongs to all of the heirs. Either they all agree to keep on renting it or using it and divide the profit according to their shares or they estimate the value of the shop and one of them offers to buy everyone else’s Shares.
