The hanafi imam of our maszid recite super fast in tarawih, i tried praying in another nearest maszid but all are same, all are hanafi here and imam recite super fast. What should i do ? Should i pray tarawih with them or pray at tarawih at home ?

ANSWER: If their prayers are considered invalid due to the speed in bowing and prostration, so not pray behind them. Otherwise, pray and then continue to pray in your home after that to win the reward of full night prayer.

What am i supposed to when am late for Taraweeh prayers that’s am i supposed to make up for the lost rakats?

ANSWER: Of course! If you prayed one Rakah with the imam, after Salam, stand up to offer the second one.

sheikh, is khatam taraweeh an innovation? I mean finishing the Quran through taraweeh or during our prophet’s (saw) time he used to pray such taraweeh? please clarify.

ANSWER: There’s no such thing as Khatam in taraweeh where you have to finish the whole Qur’an during taraweeh prayers. If the people do it, this is recommended but it is not a must.

As Ramadan is not only about staying away from food but also staying away from uttering bad words. But what if people silently keep bad thoughts towards certain situations or people? Will their fasting be accepted?

ANSWER: This does not have any impact on fasting as they didn’t act upon it nor talked about it, however they should keep their hearts clean against others.

The brother beside me, May dislike some sunnah in salah, 1)may not know to touch feet,shoulder and feel too clumsy by this and may distract in this case and also 2)when i point finger in the sitting position, 3)saying “ameen” loud,although should i perform these sunnah knowing nereby people dislike it? Or should it be a part of distractions for others,should i be sinful for overconfidence?

ANSWER: You must not be influenced by others for not performing your sunnah in salah. Follow the sunnah and don’t pay attention to others.

In order to maintain kinship is it ok to contact head of the family like to call aunt/uncle only for sula rehmi or I’ve to call individually all their children from the family like all my male/female couzins? Male couzins are non mehram for me.And Some of my female couzins are so modern they wont follow islam in dressing,making fun of others. So am I obliged to maintain kinship with such couzins?–

ANSWER: Calling your uncles and aunts is mandatory. Contacting your female cousins is also mandatory but of a lesser degree. You must not have any contact with your male cousins.

In this month of Ramadan, the youth have many questions regarding fasting. Many ask if texting or chatting with friends of the opposite sex will ruin your fasting? If so, will it break the fast or decrease it’s reward significantly?

ANSWER: Chatting and texting the opposite gender is sinful and it reduces the reward of fasting. It defies the purpose of fasting as the Prophet salla Allahu Alaihi wa Sallam had said: whoever doesn’t abandon falsehood, acting upon it and ignorance, Allah has no need for him to leave food and drink!

If i Don’t want to go somewhere but my parents forced me but i really don’t want to or i Don’t feel safe there or i Don’t like to go anyone’s home my parternals or maternals is it a sin not to go somewhere i may get loud coz they don’t understand me nor they want to if i raise my voice unintentionally coz i Don’t like it to get forced is it a sin?n is it necesry to go ur relatives home

ANSWER: I’itikaf can only be performed in masjids.

I saw a post from Khalid Yasin’s page saying there is no any prove in the Qur’an or Hadith referring to the month of Ramadan as a holy month. is that correct plz?

ANSWER: The word “holy” is not Islamic nor related to Ramadan. It is a “blessed” month but it is not one of the sacred 4 months.
