ANSWER:

Salutation of the prophet salla allahu alalihi wa sallam is a great deed and seeking forgiveness is a greet deed as well. Each one is the best when recited in its appropriate time.

Sending blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is one of the greatest acts of worship. Allaah has enjoined it and praised those who do it, and He has made it a cause of forgiveness of sins and meeting one’s needs.

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “whoever sends blessings upon me, Allaah will send blessings upon him tenfold.” Narrated by Muslim (384).

My question is: can we recite durud e Ibrahim countless times and what is the sawab. Is it better to recite Durud e Ibrahim or Astaghfaar.
