ANSWER: This is an innovation.

In Asian countries most parts,people after making some special dishes recite surah fatiha,some other surah and then they ask Allah to forgive the so and so dead people. I know this practice is an innovation but when someone brings that food to our home and we came to know after he left that the above innovation activity is done. So whether we should throw the food away or eat or give to someone?

ANSWER: This is an innovation. If the food is halal, you can eat it providing you are not participating with them in their gatherings.

Here in India people visit house to house for money collection to celebrate bid’ah such as Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) birthday, birthdays of saints, etc. Is it permissible to give them the money or should we denounce them?

The nisab for Zakah is either 85g of gold or 595 g of silver, correct me if I’m wrong. But my question is if I have 1000€ on the bank, the the nisab of gold is not reached, but the nisab of silver. Do I have to pay Zakah or not? Why are there 2 threshold mentioned and how can we know which is applicable one our money because silver is less in value than gold?

As a medical student i have to examine and touch patients of opposite gender and sometimes i have to touch and examine the private parts(genital organ) of the patient of opposite gender for learning purpose.is it permissible in islam?
