I have my board exam next month,i cannot recite surah fatiha with proper pronouncation,i cannot pronounce the letter daud ,also i don’t know how many mistakes i made in surah fatiha.once my exam finishes i will get a quran teacher and fix my recitation then, can i wait for these long to fix my recitation, as i am busy studying for my test

ANSWER: It’s not permissible at all to not pray until you fix your pronunciation. Deliberately abandoning salah is kufr. Pray to the best of your ability.

I live in Norway as a student and currently lives with other non-Muslim students. They want us to share kitchen utensils which I have not yet started. I doubt to use the pots, plates, spoons and knives as they might have been used to cook/eat pork. In this situation, can I use the sharing utensils or I should have my own?

ANSWER: The best would be for you to keep your utensils separate, if this is not possible, you can use the common utensils by washing them thoroughly. You must look for other muslim students and try to live with them.

Sheikh I always spend money on people (buy them juice, sweets, sometimes they need something and I buy it for them and when they give money I refuse), am I musrif?!

ANSWER: No. No problem in spending on people even if they are rich. This is part of a person being generous. It’s sunnah to exchange gifts.

Sheikh my maternal grandmother had gold enough for zakat but didn’t had money. The times did not change either and then she left us. Now her gold has been distributed among her children, my mother wants to know if she can give zakat of that gold which her mother had?
