In Friday prayer, after fatiha, the imam said we will do a khatm for the deceased. I know khatm is Bidah but after friday prayer till asr the imam went on reciting surah from quran after every surah he made a dua. Is this bidah?

A relative of mine has started reading some books and after he started, he started to tell me to do dhikr which are bid’ah for example, repeating ‘Yaa Rahman’ 66 times after salah to improve memory. I think he reads it from these books.I am not 100% sure
