QUESTION: I live in a kufr country and I took a loan with interest, I transferred it to a person who then blocked me, I didn’t even spend it on anything and I regretted having done all that. When I delayed paying the loan they called me and sent me gmails but currently they don’t call me or send me messages. Should I still pay that loan?

ANSWER: If the athan has already been given in any masjid in your city, there’s no need for you to give it. You should give the Iqamah before praying as this is a highly recommended sunnah but not mandatory.

QUESTION: In our dorm, someone left some fruits on the table. Usually if people wanted to give out food for free they leave it on the table with a note. But this one had no note and it had been on the table for days. Am I allowed to assume the person is giving it out and can I take it?

ANSWER: If they are abusing your wife to her face and saying hurtful things, she must not visit them as she is not obliged to do so, especially if she doesn’t have a man who would stand up for her and protect her.
