Isn’t it sufficient to acknowledge that those who loved him more than us by many light years, the companions, the tab’een and those who followed him, they loved him way more than us and they did not celebrate his birthday, isn’t this sufficient for us to follow their footsteps or do we claim that we love him more than them?

QUESTION: In this week’s friday khutba our local imam was promoting about the celebration of Eid e milad and was talking about us their proof about any celebration my question is not if there is any proof of celebration is there in quran or hadith my question is if it is bidah then are they sinful for leading people astray
