1- If you have migrated forever from your hometown and only go there for vacation, you pray there as a traveller. 2- It is prohibited to change your name to other than your father and family name!

One of my neighbour has reverted to islam since 7yrs.she was a buddist and she came into islam bcos she loved a muslim n wanted to marry him.she is practicing islam now along with her husband in India but her parents think dat she is still a buddist.so when she goes to her country, she pretends as if she is buddist n listens to her parents bcos they will feel bad.now she is confused about wat is right and how to behave with her parents n how to inform them dat she is a muslim .and may be if she informs her relationship with them may break.how and wat shud she do?

She has no right in hiding her Islam! She is sinful and responsible for not calling her parents to Islam before they die! She must tell them and call them to this beautiful religion.

I want to ask you about something very important which is, my brother is almost 21 years old and he mostly does not pray and we have tried with him with everything but no reaction. We don’t know what to do! And I want to know will Allah punish mom because her son does not pray?

It is your father’s duty to force him to pray. If he insists on not praying, he may kick him out of the house and disown him! He is an adult and is accountable for his actions and it is up to him to pray or not!

Is takaful insurance which offers us a various medical coverage for the time of need and emergencies or lost of ability to work or death on condition of continuous monthly fixed amount of payment to the takaful company permissible in islam? Summerized Details: The amount given to us sometimes lot more than what we have paid, and sometime we cannot claim anything. Depending on our health condition. And If we want to cancel, only 60% of our accumulated payment will be available. What is the islamic ruling regarding this takaful insurance sheikh? Whether or not it’s like LIFE INSURANCE?

If the conditions of takaful are applied to the letter, this is permissible in Sha Allah but I doubt that there is any such company!

I was wondering if this Hadith is true, – The Prophet (saws) also said: “Your Lord said: ‘O son of Adam, pray for Me four rak`ats at the beginning of the day and I shall take care of your needs the rest of it.'” Narrated from Nu`aym ibn Hammar by Abu Dawud, Ahmad, and al-Darimi; and from Abu Dharr or Abu al-Darda’ by al-Tirmidhi (hasan gharib)

This is authentic.

Is it permissible to kneel down/bend the knees a little bit when greeting the elders?this is mainly practised in African cultures as a sort of respect to elders, an example of it is also found when a queen(britain) been greeted that way when she visit a country etc. it is not a prostration but bending the knees a little bit,please advise.
