Iam a lady with African type of hair (hard hair).and would like to know if dreadlocks nullifys one’s prayers though wudhu is properly done with water reaching in the roots of the hair. Dreadlocks are made of using one own’s hair by twisting and locking them and this is permissible. In case of wudhu, wiping over the head is sufficient, while for ghusl, the water must reach the roots of the hair and your scalp. You say the water reaches the scalp / roots, so this is permissible.

I joined the jama for dhuhr salah a few minutes late and before I could complete my fatiah the imam went into ruku. To which you said I should complete the fatiah quickly and join the imam in ruku. What if the imam gets back to qiyam postion from the ruku and is getting into sujood. Should I still rush the fatiah? Or get into ruku without completing the fatiah?

If you started the prayer while imam was standing, you must complete the Fatiha. Otherwise, your Rakah would not be complete. If the imam raises his head before you go for ruku, this Rakah is void and you must add another Rakah after the imam gives Salam.
