What is the ruling on using children’s Islamic books which contain animated cartoons of animals,humans,nature, non-living things,etc?There are many books by Darussalam publications,Goodword,IIPH,& more which contain cartoons pictures in kids’ books to create interest and for educational purpose.Is one allowed to sell these books or can one give these to kids?

Should we count the rakah in congregation if the imam is in ruku and we are able to complete it (I mean get the ruku) with him however we miss alfatihah.

ANSWER: If you join the imam while he is in ruku, then this raka is counted for you even if you missed suratul fatiha.

Someone sent me the below message and need explanation on how to convince the Sender, that the message is false! “The prophet(SAW) said, stop doing everything during the ADHAAN, even reading the Quran, the person who talks will not be able to say the SHADDAH on his Death day”.

ANSWER: Ask him to provide you with the reference and the original hadeeth in Arabic as a lot of people lie on the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam by fabricating hadeeth which he had not said.

I have noticed some brothers when they enter the masjed to pray with their working clothes (construction) which is very dirty and smelling, is it okay for them to pray like this and enter the masjed

ANSWER: They shouldn’t enter the masjid when their clothes may contaminate the masjid and their smell annoys the worshippers.

We stay in a compound of 70 villas. There is a club house and in that one room is allotted as a masjid. 1.Is this masjid considered as a masjid for regular prayers? 2. As Ramadan is coming can my children sit for ithikaaf in that masjid?!

ANSWER: This is not a masjid, rather a musalla. Hence, there can’t be i’itikaf in there.

My sister is 20 years old and is currently studying engineering.She wants to get married as early as possible but some of her relatives are brainwashing her parents to make her do a job. She is strict upon islamic principles and doesn’t want to go for this option. She isn’t comfortable talking about marriage with her parents. Please help.

ANSWER: The wudu is valid, you just need to wipe over your hair without rubbing the scalp or your hair.

I have a question regarding marriage. When getting married, does both the woman and the man have to be present in the mosque to say kabul? Or can only the man go to the mosque and the woman can stay in the house with the father of the woman only being present in the mosque. Is the woman supposed to say kabul as well>

ANSWER: If she authorized her father, she can stay home.

I read a hadith that says there are three individuals that, when they supplicate to Allah (Azz’ Wa Jal), their supplication is not answered. One of them was a man to whom another man owes money and he does not have witnesses over him. Does this mean if you let somebody borrow money without having witnesses your dua are not accepted? If so how does one make up for this?

ANSWER: If the loan is not written down and the debtor denies it or takes a long time to repay it, then the lender has no one to blame but himself, because he exposed his property to loss. And in this case , Duaa of this person will not be answered.
