When i reach home from university i miss the zuhr jama’a by a some minutes EVERYDAY,if i pray near my university i can get the jama’a.The masjid near my university is of the deobandis or jamat islami & i have seen the book fazail a’amal over there & the way they pray declares it.I dont know about the aqeedah of the imam by person. Should i pray behind him?coz this happens EVERYDAY.

ANSWER: If you can pray the second congregation in the masjid near your home and you can find other worshipers to pray it with them, this is best.

Shaykh, if there is a particular girl that I want to get married to but currently she’s in a haraam relationship with a friend of mine unfortunately, should I wait until she “breaks-up” with her boyfriend then try to marry her or find somebody else for marriage?

ANSWER: Are you a disbeliever or a fornicator? Allah says: The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or polytheist, and none marries her except a fornicator or a polytheist, and that has been made unlawful to the believers.

What is the ruling on joining Jammat at-tabligh. Can one follow them in their tours of dawah without following their da’eef, fabricated and odd hadiths? If someone follows them on their missions, will I be associated as one of them even if i reject their deviance and only uses them for dawah?

A trend has started on social media to upload a selfie with a sanitary pad. Many Muslims are also doing same. Is it okay for Muslim men and women to upload such selfies when they know it’ll be seen by non mahram’s.

So I’m to write about an influencial personality for a scholarship award, thing is I intend to write about Dale Carnegie ’cause when I read his landmark book on how to influence people I learnt literally why people do certain things and wisdom behind many sunnahs. So it has made me better follower of the Prophet. Is this alright?

My 8 year old daughter asked me logic behind cutting nails as per sunnah way. why we follow that certain pattern, why we start from finger of shahadah, i dont know the answer plz help. i explain to my kids sunnah ways and how these ways benefit us. and also from tafseers whatever i learn i share good points with them to build their strong base. So they question alot..

ANSWER: There’s nothing prescribed in the Sunnah about cutting the nails in a particular way. This is an innovation and one can straight away cut it from any finger.

I would like to ask about Qasr if I am eligible to pray in my situation. My work place from my home is around 100 to 120 KMS far. I travel daily to work in Bus. I start from my place at 5:40 AM and in return I start at 4:00 PM and asr Salah time starts at 3:58 PM. Can I pray Qasr (2+2 at Zuhr and asr time)? Can I pray jama qasr salah (2 + 2 at same time)

ANSWER: If the people in the community consider this as traveling, you can shorten and combine. But if this is considered as a suburb and no one considers it traveling, one must not shorten nor combine.
