ANSWER: Being diplomatic while still saying the truth and enforcing virtue and preventing vice is the way of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi sa sallam. A hypocrite is a person who smiles in your face while he intends something different and plots to harm you. He cares less about Islam and hopes for its destruction.

I wear loose trousers and shirt at home and there is only my husband at home. Can I pray my salah with this outfit at home when there is no one around?

ANSWER: This is not permissible. You must be fully covered while praying salah, except for your face and hands, even if you are praying home alone.

I heard that it is a bad thing to sleep between ‘Asr and Mahgrib? Does this have Islamic basis? Please, kindly answer it because I always sleep right after praying ‘Asr because every weekdays I am always so tired from work and school.

ANSWER: No, she must tear or shred them up and throw away. It is not permissible to keep the photo or the deceased.

When we are having our meals and someone comes across us and does salaam, can we answer saying walaikumasalam or when we are having our meals and if someone known comes towards us, can we do salaam, I’m asking this as I have seen some people who do not greet or answer the salaam while eating

ANSWER: Of course you should return back the salam, this is fard upon you. There’s nothing in islam which says that we should not give salam or not return it while eating.

Sheikh, is there any dua to protect property in our absence? As we are trying to get our parents to stay with us in a different country but they worry about their home.

ANSWER: There is nothing prescribed for this. Simply make dua to Allah and after that, appoint someone to look after the house in their absence. One of the Athkar of the morning and evening include asking Allah for protection in our religion, life, family and wealth. This covers the property as well.

ANSWER: It is totally prohibited for anyone to pray before the time for salah has entered whether before or after the athan! But if the time is due and the athan is delayed, she can pray.
