Can we pray in front of a MIRROR?

ANSWER: This is permissible but not recommended.

I have one neighbour who constantly asks me vegetables or something she says she has already built 2 houses in loan and the third house loan is being paid by her now and so has limited money only.please may I know should I encourage her asking or just turn it down.

ANSWER: If it is something trivial, give it to her and be a better person. Praise Allah you are not like her.

My question is,do we have islamic rituals that a mourning mother should perform because i heard that she is not allowed to clip her nails or shave. any dalil on that?

ANSWER: This is all baseless. When a child dies, a mother can mourn the child for three days and that is it. A widow on the other hand must mourn her husband for 4 months and 10 days. Clipping the nails and shaving is permissible in all cases.

Shiekh we know we must make intention to fast before Fajr. Does that include non-obligatory fasting like Monday and Thursday, fasting of three white days, etc? Will I get reward if I realize that today is Thursday and I didn’t make intention to fast it but I just fast anyway?

ANSWER: You will be rewarded for voluntary fasts but the reward is reduced depending on the time you intended it.

Alhamdulillah I m earning good, I do not want my father-in-law to spend his money on her daughter (my wife) in neither way by gifting her gold ornaments or in the form of dresses or money. I dislike him because of his rude behavior towards me, he do not have talking manners, is it fine if I ask him to stop OR I ask my wife not to accept any gift from him. Plz advice.

Will my deceased father also recieve reward for every good deed that I do? I’ve been told that pious child is sadaqah jaria so whatever good u do, ur parents get reward of that.

ANSWER: Whatever he had taught you, he will be rewarded for it whenever you do it.

The masjid near my place doesn’t always give azaan, I don’t know why. So I follow the time available on internet. What will be iqamah for me? Is it from that time till i offer my prayer at home? Or is it 2-5 minutes after that time like in a masjid?

ANSWER: If the time was due according to Umm Al Qura timetable, you can pray even if the masjid didn’t give athan.

I know only a few short surah and, because of that, my salah is very short and I don’t get peace and calmness when praying. The salah is finish before I could focus. The longer I stay in salah, the more I benefit from it. For this reason, is it permissible to hold a book that has the arabic script of juz amma as well as the translitteration of the ayat during Salah in order to read longer suras?

ANSWER: You must not do that in Fard prayer. In voluntary prayers, you can do that providing you only read the Arabic. Reading the translation would nullify your prayers.
