QUESTION: I know shaving the beard is a sin. But I read on a site which said that shaving the beard is a major sin and the person who does it is considered to be an immoral person. Is this true?

ANSWER: It’s totally prohibited to shave the beard as it is imitating disbelievers and also women who are by nature beardless.

QUESTION: My qn is, it is known that Animals can hear the screams of the dead. I have seen cats/dogs lying on the tombstones. If they are the graves of non-muslims and the animals do not react differently, what can I understand from it?

ANSWER: That the animals hear the screams the dead make when they are initially hit by the two angels after questioning. This doesn’t continue and the animals don’t hear what they are shouting other than that.

ANSWER: When a person passes wind, he doesn’t have to make wudhu. Only when he wants to pray, he is obliged to make wudhu. Likewise when eating camel’s meat.
