ANSWER: No, absolutely not! This so called sheikh doesn’t know what he is talking about! It’s a major sin, whether you pay it, receive it, witness it or record it. They are all cursed and in equal in the curse of Allah as stated by the prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam.

ANSWER: No. You must say the salam after the imam concludes saying it on his left side.

QUESTION: Sheikh my friend who does not do rafa ul yadain, he wants to have a munazara ( debate) with me, should i accept his challenge on having a munazara or should i leave it and if yes then how could i prove to him that rafa ul yadain is a part of the salah?

ANSWER: No need to debate with such people. This is not the last thing in Islam that you have differences over! Most likely, his aqeedah is ash’ari or maturidi and this is far worse than not raising the hands! Simply send him the authentic hadith and you have done your job.

QUESTION: I have young adult daughters who live with me. I would like to take them to Hajj. I am told that since they have no money of their own and I provide for them financially, therefore Hajj is not obligated on them and if I take them to Hajj it will not be valid. And f they have money of their own in the future then they will need to do Hajj again. Is it true?

ANSWER: What you have been told is false. If they have reached the age of puberty then this hajj is valid and its their mandatory hajj even if someone else sponsors it.

QUESTION: Can one do Ruqyah on someone without them knowing? Can I put my hand on the door of their room and recite ruqyah because the person wouldn’t like it if I do it to their face?

ANSWER: No, ruqyah does not work this way. You can do it without them knowing but not by touching their doors like this! You must either blow on them directly or blow on water and have them drink it.
