I have noticed that the beach in Jeddah has 12 huge discs/monuments displaying the 12 signs of the zodiac (star signs)The ones that are used by astrologers to predict the future and define people’s personalities. Does this mean that it is ok to use these star/ zodiac signs as decoration?

In Books where they have mentioned that before Prophet Moses many incidences took place like Ibrahim a.s being saved from the fire which was 10th muharram and Hazrat Yunus a.s came out from the fish belly was 10th muharram and Hazrat Yusuf a.s was united with his father on 10th Muharram etc Are all this authentic?

Could you give advise in light of quran&sunnah? A muslim sister did her nikaah in presence of a wali she chose by herself (not her Father), 1 witness (2nd couldn’t come), and her husband to be. Then she left with this man she married. Her parents didn’t agree. I told her this nikaah is not valid. She doesn’t listen. What do you think about the situation?

1) My mom is 69 years old and long since post menopausal. Does she have to observe iddah (my father passed away 5 days ago) As in old age woman don’t have to wear hijab. 2) can she travel from Saudi Arabia to Australia alone, to be with my sister & her husband, they are expecting a baby in December.

Yes, she has to observe iddah for a period of 4 months and 10 days. She cannot travel during the Iddah period or aftewards without a mahram.

In India, we have a custom of applying turmeric to the bride and the groom for some days before nikah. I think this is a Hindu custom but I am not sure. So is this custom permissible?

If this is done for beautification or skin cleansing purposes and not in a way that imitates hindus or kuffar. it is permissible.

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr: Once the Prophet (ï•º) remained behind us in a journey. He joined us while we were performing ablution for the prayer which was over-due. We were just passing wet hands over our feet (and not washing them properly) so the Prophet (ï•º) addressed us in a loud voice and said twice or thrice: “Save your heels from the fire.” washing areas has to be “washed” it can’t replace by wiping-“mash” I would like to know if the above hadith is authentic?

The hadeeth is authentic and the feet must be washed. Wiping can be only applied over socks!
