I have a problem in rising for Fajar Prayer and for the rest of the prayers I try to do and complete some of the days and some of the days i miss it because I am working in Non-Muslim Set up. But i also guide other people for moving in the direction of Islam religion, am i being a Hypocrite. Can u please guide.

There is no excuse for missing any prayer, except by forgetting or by oversleeping. Delaying and missing prayers is a characteristic of hypocrites! Try your best to fix yourself.

The daughter is like the son in their benefit to their parents by practicing whatever they taught them.

Back in India, Muslim women wear a variety of colours and styles of the traditional salwar kameez, just like the rest of the women. But because they add a headscarf and dress in loose garments, with a long shawl draped over themselves, they appear distinct and are recognized as Muslim women. In Qatar, where I presently reside in however, I find most practicing Muslim women are increasingly giving up their country’s traditional dress code to adopt the Gulf-style black/plain abaya and the fitted niqab, for a variety of reasons including convenience, comfort, ‘fitting in’, being more cautious about one’s appearance and so on. While I do wear abayas, I am not comfortable in using them each time I step out of the house. I’d like to wear more colours (not just black or plain) and different but modestly-styled clothing which meet the conditions of the Islamic hijab but I am not sure if we can dress like this in a mixed community. Please confirm. (FYI, while majority of women wear abayas, there are many others who dress in other clothing such as long, loose skirts and blouses, gowns, shalwar-kameez and so on in public)

A Muslim woman wears what pleases Allah and doesn’t make her weird in the community! Wearing an abayah is the Norm. Wanting to wear colorful clothes in order to impress others is prohibited.

Shaikh, it has been said that if a Muslim died with ihram doing hajj services, he will be in Jannah. But within the mass death of hajj happened last, a soccerer, fortune-teller or soothe-sayer died with ihram during last hajj services; will he be in Jannah?

Sheikh, I apologize for being questioning the same issue regarding hair dye. Sheikh I don’t understand one thing, why it was mentioned in hadith of father of Abu Bakar (RA) “Complete Hair” was white when Prophet (PBUH) told him to dye. Does it mean that reward of dying hair will be accountable when once complete hair is white?

I went to visit my brother and his family. In their local masjid some brothers get together to gain some islamic knowledge everyday after Isha. they use to read some books 1. Hayatus sahaba 2. Muntakhab ahadith by Hazrat maulana Muhammad Yousuf Kandhlavi. I would like to know whether these books are authentic? Please advise.

I haven’t read these two books but if these are the books that Tableeghi people read from, they most likely have weak narrations! It is best to read Riyadhul Saliheen.

Sheikh! Was going thru your fatwa questions here and i am actually in page 298 where it says that selling or buying cats is not allowed. Nowadays, hybrid cats are popular as pets and of course buying and selling are popular too. My brother is actually taking care of a hybrid cat which he bought from a pet shop. Did he just commit a sin? Advice please.

I wish to know our stance on ‘Can Allah do everything’? We know Allah doesn’t sleep nor is He in need of it. But there are some people who say that, although this doesn’t Befit His Majesty, we cannot say ‘Never or can’t’ when it comes to Allah doing things. The idea of “Allah can lie or sleep” is preposterous and insulting to Allah! These things are impossible to happen and it is part of Allah’s majesty and might! It is like saying Allah is all living and doesn’t die but he can die! What kind of nonsense people dare to speak about Allah!
