I bought a men’s gold watch many years ago before I came to know that wearing gold is haram for men. Of course I will never wear it now, but I understand it is haram to sell it too, is that correct? If so, what do you advise I should do with it as it cost a lot of money.

The prayer is valid but you are sinful for keeping and wearing such clothes.

IS IT PERMISSIBLE IN ISLAM TO CARRY GIFTS (LIKE GOLD SET, CLOTHS , FRUITS, SHOES, DRY FRUITS ETC) TO GROOM HOUSE AFTER MARRIAGE OR BEFORE MARRIAGE. IT IS VERY COMMON IN INDIA TO SEND THESE TYPES OF GIFT EVERY YEAR AFTER ENGAGEMENT.
