QUESTION: I was in a relationship with someone, but now I want to end it. However, the person is very sensitive and says they will commit sucde if I leave. To avoid a direct confrontation, I have gradually distanced myself, and now we have no real connection. However, they still believe we are in a relationship. ANSWER: No problem if there’s nothing haram depicted in it and no music. However, it is not manly to watch such things!

QUESTION: Before I became Muslim I used to use a type of drug and I am still in debt to the person that used to sell it. After becoming Muslim I stopped all that but never paid the debt. I haven’t really had contact with the person since because he is a man and I’m a woman. Should I still pay it? Or would it be best to donate the money instead?

QUESTION: What is the validity of a rakah for a follower of an imam when the follower goes into ruku behind the imam whilst the imam is seen rising out of ruku or saying the dhikr between ruku and standing up? Assume the follower had already started the salah with the imam and rakah is quiet.

ANSWER: As long as the imam & the follower were in ruku position at the same time, even for a second, the rakah is valid for the follower. If he missed it and Imam rose before he went to ruku with him, he has to make up for that missed Rakah.

ANSWER: You can say them as soon as the fajr time begins, you don’t have to wait until you finish praying fajr
