QUESTION: Should I stop shaking and put down the finger in the first tashahhud of a prayer like duhr or asr when I say ashadhu an lailaha illallah wa ashadu Anna muhammadan rasulallah? I hear u saying in video that scholars say that a person should restrict himself at this.

ANSWER: If you are praying alone and going to stand up, the answer is yes But if you are behind an imam and he is still sitting, you should make duaa and continue

QUESTION: Sheikh, due to a chronic illness I can only make my nose touch the ground in sujood when there is enough space. Which sometimes I cannot do in a congregation in a short time. Does that affect the validity of my prayer.

ANSWER: It is an issue of dispute among scholars No one in his right mind, even if everyone says it is not najis, would still come close to that area, let alone pray on it!

QUESTION: If a person doesn’t know meaning of Salah and he kept praying his whole life and kept reciting quran and tasbeeh without knowing meaning. Will he be rewarded and will it complete meaning. And if he is doing dhikr will Allah fulfil his wish.

QUESTION: Have a sweater that has a cartoon print on it but when I pray I cover that cartoon with my hijab, do I have to change my sweater when I pray?

QUESTION: I woke up, noticed that I had not heard my alarm clock, took a look at the watch and the time to pray fajr had expired by 30-40 minutes and I went back to sleep. When I finally woke up I prayed the missed fajr prayer. Also this is not something that happens regularly since I basically never miss the fajr prayer and always hear my fajr alarm.

QUESTION: If my friends come over at home (well, my dad’s home), is it the right of me or my brother to lead the prayer instead of them (only me and my friends, or maybe if their dads come too). Also, if one is a haafidh, can I/my brother(one of us has memorised more Quraan but not all) still lead the prayer/is that permissible

ANSWER: The owner of the house or whoever represents him is the most worthy of leading the prayer, regardless of who the guests are or their ages or their memorization of the Quran.

ANSWER: If the bus doesn’t stop and you have no other alternative but to pray sitting down, this is fine.

QUESTION: If we take ghusl after menstruation at asr time I have heard we have to pray both dhuhr & asr. Likewise if it’s at night we take ghusl then we have to pray both Maghreb & Isha. Is this true?

ANSWER: No, this is not true. If you saw your purity at Asr time you’re not required to make up dhuhr, likewise, if you saw your purity at Isha time you don’t have to pray both maghrib and isha, you must pray only isha.

QUESTION: What is the ruling of praying Witr when travelling. How to pray witr if I am combining Maghrib and Isha. Is it compulsory to pray Witr or I can leave.

ANSWER: It is a confirmed sunnah that one prays witr whether residing or traveling as the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam used to do. If one combines isha to maghreb, one can offer witr after that without any problem and without the need to wait until it is time for isha
