QUESTION: My mother often asks me to iron her clothes for her when she goes to work. Unfortunatly she does tabarruj. Does this come under the notion of not assisting one another in evil like if my father sends me to buy cigarettes for him? Or can I obey her ?

ANSWER: If you are certain that this particular dress she is going to wear outside without any abayah, you must not collaborate with her on such evil and assist her on it.

QUESTION: My family isnt that religious. And my sister goes out with crop and my mother meets with her male “friends” but anything i would say wouldnt chnage a thing for them. And my father isnt that religious. I am not an authorative person so is my father. Am i considered a dayouth if i dont give advice(they wouldnt listen)will i never enter jannah?

ANSWER: The son/brother has no authority over his mother/sister and all he can do is advise them with good manners, wisdom, knowledge and diplomacy, therefore once he has done this, he is not a dayooth. This is the father’s job to enforce that on them.

QUESTION: Sheikh Can I marry a woman who doesnt abide by proper islamic parda/Niqaab and also free mixes, because I love her. What advice would you give?

My daughter is 17 and soon she is going to university, she dresses modestly in loose clothing and skirts and observes proper hijab, alhamdulillah. I want her to start wearing the abaya, but she claims to not feel ready for it yet. what should I do? And how should I ease her into it?

ANSWER: It is not permissible for her to leave the house wearing a skirt or loose dress as her body curves and bone structure are visible and men can tell how her body looks and this defies the purpose of hijab as true hijab is not only covering the hair.

QUESTION: My husband doesn’t like me to show face to unfamiliar women, now in masjid I cover my face.It is said that it is maqroo to do so. So now should I follow my husband or this opinion

ANSWER: You must not obey your husband in such an innovation and extreme opinion that has nothing to do with Islam. If you don’t stop him, he will transgress more and more.

QUESTION: So basically, I don’t wear makeup, mostly because I’m not allowed and I don’t know how to apply it. Most of my friends wear it almost everyday though (we are all teenage girls.) ANSWER: It is 100% tabarruj. It’s totally prohibited to wear makeup in front of non mahram men and uncover the face when going out No problem in wearing it in front of other women and your mahram relatives

ANSWER: No, this is not mandatory as long as she wears a kameez that covers her awrah.

QUESTION: I wear niqab with gloves n believe these are obligatory. is it permissible to marry a man who takes from trustworthy scholars bin baz, ibn uthaymeen, al albani etc. but doesn’t believe that niqab and gloves are obligatory? what if i have a daughter in the future (i want her to wear niqab of course)?

ANSWER: No problem in marrying him providing he does not force you to take it off! Once you get a daughter and she reaches the age of niqab, you by then should have been able to change his mind with love and care.
