QUESTION: Since it’s permissible to get layers in the hair etc what about other normal haircuts that Muslim women get that also non Muslim women get ? Can we get those too even if non Muslims do it ? like curtain bangs for eg ? It looks nice on Muslim and non Muslim women so how do we not imitate the kufar if they do everything , Even things Muslims do ?

ANSWER: As long as its common among Muslim women and not imitating men, then no problem in having that haircut

QUESTION: My eyebrows are going out of shape and looks very bad on me. Can I just remove or pluck extra little bit hairs. It won’t give shape at all. Just it’s growing out of eyebrow area

ANSWER: This is not permissible at all and its one of the major sins in Islam! You can bleach the extra hair but must conceal this in front of non mahram men and while going out.

QUESTION: If a woman wears veil and hijab but below neck she doesn’t wear any sort of outer covering (abaya etc) and goes out in her formal dress or casual dress, then is it permissible and licit for her to do so or will she be sinful?

ANSWER: This is not permissible as it defies the very purpose of hijab She must wear a thick and very loose outer garment that covers her entire body, bone structure and curves and a thick and loose abaya would do this job perfectly

QUESTION: I attach the khimar to the side of my overcoat with clips so that my chest area is covered on all sides. Because when standing sideways, my chest area may be visible in certain prayer positions. At the end of the prayer, I noticed that the clip had come loose. Is my prayer valid?

QUESTION: My mother is mentally, physically and emotionally ill, her life is really bad. She’s depressed because of the stress in her life. She’s also very angry when I try to practice Islam. QUESTION: If a woman has loose hair strands that have came off her head and is on the outside of her abaya or khimar, or is on a hairbrush that is not covered in the bedroom she prays in, is that considered as her awrah being revealed, rendering her prayer invalid?

QUESTION: My parents want me to drop off/ pickup my sister from scl, but her uniform exposes her body.I refuse because i will be assisting in sin and those who know me will think badly of me,parents are upset. Am I sinful for this?should I obey my parents or tell my sister to walk home(2km)

ANSWER: Order her to wear proper clothes when she is riding with you and request from your parents to force her to do so. Otherwise, you won’t be able to drive her to school. She has to cooperate with you in order for you to cooperate with her.

QUESTION: Is it allowed to a woman to make upperlips if she is the one giving udhiya but is not on hajj?
